Christmas present card

I believe the present is on a piece of 2 x3 whisper white cardstock...took the patterned Christmas DSP and punched 1 inch square pieces...glued and then used the lattice embossing folder
used the cherry cobbler seam binding for the bow...and attached with the glue dots..
added small pearls on the peaks on the decorative label punch gumball piece

SAB swap

This is the card that I just sent in to my upline's upline for a swap...the folder and stamped area is in the sale-a-bration booklet for the end of January...love that stamp and embossing folder...also love it in the incolors..
I cut a piece of sizzix sticky paper the same size as the stamp and added dazzling diamonds...used the markers to color and add rhinestones and ribbon to finish off the card
Added the chevron punched area on the side and then ran the ribbon through the opening..
This is the actual card for the swap....the other one will be used for my class this week...

Getting ready for a Christmas Dinner party

Last night had a nice small dinner party with friend...this is the in-process lol....

Got the wonderful tree at Southern Interiors in Rome,Ga...an hour from me...did use my Spode dishes but didn't take any final picture....unfortunately my sweet friend, Rosalind (due to fever and severe sinus infection)  didn't make the dinner...bummer...we had Bellini's....they were fair....Brandied Cheese with apples...that was great...Carrot soup, asparagus, Marinated short ribs and Cuban Black Beans (for my honey...those took forever...and then he tells me Cuban use the canned beans...ghees...lol...all those hours..lol) and
did get a picture of the desserts...it sounded wonderful and I tried it and believe me, it was ggggrrreeaatt..here is a picture of it...lemon curd with whipped cream with ladyfingers drizzled with sherry....yummy...should have served smaller portions though...need to find some dishes...lol..just what I need is a few more...lol

Single Stamp...Christmas Star

Just showed this at Monika's ...thought it was so easy so will keep this stamp for ornaments or packaging up through the years...so easy ..just follow the lines and fold...I clear embossed the stamp on the foil paper...so easy and wonderful end result!

Thoughts and Prayers Sympathy card case Kathy Antwerp

This is Kathy Antwerp's card....a direct case...it is simplicity at its finest....thanks Cathy..sent to a friend who needed to be cheered up...very nice card

Chalk Talk case

Loved this simple idea...cased it from an unknown source....but love the outcome...

Gently Falling

This was a direct to paper card...loved the way it turned out...
used the distress tool...

used the two stamp method...did the thumping with the makers..before doing the second part

Magnificent Maple Resist tutorial

I used the Quatredfancy DSP with red and yellow ink and a brayer...as a resist...really made a nice fall card

used versamark and clear embossing powder...word of warming here...you might want to do a couple at a time....very difficult to see the clear until you resist...then, still a little difficult to see...

after clear embossing, then use the brayer...start off the paper and go passed the paper...when you apply ink  from pad to brayer, do it in a circle motion..never going off the pad quickly..

add yellow and then red...until you get the desired effect...always use lighter color first, then darker color

the sample below is using some paper DSP that has a very closed pattern...you really want the pattern to show through ...it just pops more...

this shows some yellow ink and then when the red is added...

when the desired effect has been obtained, wipe the excess ink with a paper towel...Diane, one of my downline is showing the technique...do it in a circular motion and viola...a really wonderful paper..

same effect with a different paper from Quadrefancy DSP pack...I LOVE this one..it really does pop

finished card....
Also did some others..using the thankful phrase...using curry again with the phrase...

 more close ups....
 Do love this one...lol
