dress framelit box and hostess luncheon

I have such a nice group of ladies...both who come to classes and my hostess club....the menu was endive and watercress salad...it was a recipe from Commanders Palace in the French Quarter, Chicken with mustard sauce and rice, strawberry bread and coconut cupcakes...Gave these wonderful ladies a yellow rose...
Dessert always comes first doesn't it....wonderful large coconut cupcakes...they loved them...they weren't going to have one but couldn't resist...lol
I will post this Strawberry Pecan bread on Weds...have been making this for years..so moist and yummy...ummmmm
Will post how to make this flower later in the week...
The table setting..next year it will be IN the house..too much to move and set up....the roses were in the middle..the strawberry bread is under cover...
their gifts, plus the flower and the rose...

 yummy cupcakes....

You will have to look at the picture above to see what dress frame box looked like finished...it is cut on the fold and the framelit is placed a little above the fold line....make sure the cutting part is above the fold line ...if you don't you will not have a secure fold for the dress...
the next two pictures are what it looks like finished...I used the lacy brocade embossing folder...yellow ribbon for waist and pearls on bodice and scallops on the bottom...

The directions are for the inside box...
the measurements are 2 x 3 1/2..score at 1/4 inch on the long side and 1 inch on the opposite side...(when this box is finished you can fit one roche in it...but has to be inserted sideways...or bitty candies...lol.)...gel lines show you what it should look like scored....
Snip at the four lines...both across for each other...snip just to score line...this is a very small 1/4 inch snip
this is what it will look like scored...
use sticky tape on the four corner...it doesn't make a difference if you have some tape showing (like I do in the  photo below) because other tape will go there to attach to dress....

Put sticky tape on both sides...adhere the base of the dress to the bottom of the sides...
this is how it is attached...
this is the completed box....will have to make another sample ,as I gave them away and have no sample...that will teach me....lol...the ladies in your group, church or whatever would love these.....
