One of my swaps....Love the way this turned out

I had this card in my mind when I ordered supplies ....and although it took awhile to make ,  I absolutely love how it turned out...You know when you do a happy dance about a card that you have to take too many pictures....
Took the page of detailed laser cut DSP from SU 's new Occasion mini....and with the cutter marked all the corners of the 4 sheet of 4 of the open laser cut sheets and then sponged the tombow multi glue on it...

the used the amazing....did I say amazing embossing folder on page 11...the lace dynamic textured impressions embossing folder...it really showed in this card

I placed the Petal pink/ww variegated ribbon....this ribbon is lovely and so soft and fine....I put a 1/4 inch of ww cardstock behind this since the ribbon is a little sheet

the Hello Beautiful is from the amazing Butterfly Gala on page 35

origami frame tutorial

I haven't done this origami frame fold in about 8 yrs ...was inspired to use again by a post....I had started to use the SAB ribbon but it needed black so I used the satin but gave customers a choice....one customer liked the glitter ribbon that was carried over

I make the background paper...love the bright colors although I am usually a subtle color person...love pastels....
Here is the tutorial...it is easy....4 inch square...I usually use DSP but showed the directions in WW so easy to see and follow....

fold it one direction...burnish with bone folder

fold it the other direction ...burnish

where the two folds intersect mark with a pen (you won't see this once it is covered up with whatever you put in the frame

then take each corner to the lines

then once  you have done that ...fold it the other direction

this is the same idea using DSP

this is a better picture of  how you fold the corner piece to the center mark

this is the finished product of the frame before finishing...any questions, feel free to ask

Dana Russell's inspiration

One of my New Year's resolutions was to get back to blogging.....just had a knee revision done so my energy level is far from the norm...but it will be!!   I just loved the Christmas card Dana Russell sent me (NZ) below...I haven't used the set for awhile and needed a few more cards.  Really love everything about it...
Here are the four cards

wanted this one to be about the baking during the holidays....sorry for the darkness of the photo...

added a little glimmer on this one...
more glimmer...

just a little simpler...
